James E. Dill

Mr. James Edward Dill, age 80, husband of Audry Evans Dill of 303 N. Mountain St., Union, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017 at his home. Mr. Dill was born in Gaffney, May 20, 1937, a son of the late Fred and Iva Knight Dill. He was retired from construction and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter Karen Owen and husband Brian of Roseboro, NC; a son Mark Dill of the home; a sister, Helen Crocker of Charlotte and eleven grandchildren. Mr. Dill was predeceased by a son, James Edward Dill, II and a brother Harold Dill. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday, July 2, 2017 at the chapel of First Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Kermit Morris. The family will receive friends immediately following the services in the church chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to First Baptist Church, Youth Ministry, 405 E. Main St., Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home, 303 N. Mountain St., Union.
