James Michael “Doughboy” Lanier

December 2, 2016 Mr. James Michael "Doughboy" Lanier, age 51 husband of Leslie Watkins Lanier of 144 Pine St., Buffalo, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mr. Lanier was born in El Paso, TX June 9, 1965 a son of the late Bobbie Simpson Lanier and Lois Jean Bright Lanier. He was employed with Humphries Heating and Air. Surviving in addition to his wife are one nephew, Michael Watkins, of Greenville; one sister-in-law, Sara Lanier of Woodruff; three sisters Carolyn Thomas, Robin Palmer, and Karen Lanier all of Union; a brother, Gerald Lanier; two nieces, Shannon Silvey and April Trammell both of Union; and his best friend, Frank Humphries. He was predeceased by a brother, Randy Lanier and his beloved dog, Hoppy. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
