June 27, 2015 Mr. James Kenneth "Knotty" Fowler, age 74, husband of Kathy Knox Fowler of 1077 Pineland Rd., Union, passed away Friday June 26, 2014 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Mr. Fowler was born in Pacolet, December 5, 1940, a son of the late Leon and Louise Freeman Fowler. He was retired from Milliken Co., White Stone Packaging Plant and was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. Mr. Fowler was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who also enjoyed shooting pool and fishing. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Kelly Schlesener of Georgia; four sons, Jamie Fowler and wife Jane, and Marty Fowler all of Pacolet, Cody Fowler and Rodney Lowe and wife Sedne all of Union; a sister, Frances Manus and husband Charles and a brother, Tommy Fowler and wife Sybil all of Pacolet. Mr. Fowler was also survived by 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Imogene Littlejohn Hewitt and an aunt who was reared in the home, Margaret Freeman Sichak. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 29, 2015 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Glenn Riblen and Mr. Robbie Littlejohn. Burial will following in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Brandon Fowler, Zach Lowe, Ted Garner, Gene Horne, Michael Wynn, Kenny Harvey, Donnie Wells and Nick Martin. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Sunday evening at the Holcombe's Jonesville Chapel. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060. The family will be at the home, 1077 Pineland Rd., Union.
