James H. ‘Jim’ Hart, Jr.

December 28, 2016 Mr. James Hoyle "Jim" Hart, Jr., age 53, husband of Julie Robinson Hart of 810 Bishop Rd., Union, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at his home. Mr. Hart was born in Union, December 25, 1963, a son of Buddy Gillespie of Moore and the late Trudy Harris Gillespie and James Hoyle Hart, Sr. He was a graduate of Jonesville High School and employed with Polydeck Screen Corporation in Spartanburg for 23 years. Mr. Hart was a member of Crestview Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Amanda Black and husband Jake of Jonesville and Jami Danielle Axson and husband Michael of Pauline; one son, Rev. Josh Freeman and wife Cathy of Union; two sisters, Joie Lister and husband Ray of Greer and Nikki Hart of Chester; three brothers, Shawn Gillespie and wife Cassandre of Moore, Ronny Gillespie and wife Kari of Greer and Scott Dubose and wife Stephanie of San Diego, CA; special friends, B.J. and George Camp and their children, Drew and Drake Hyde; 4 grandchildren, Abbey Freeman, Aryn Freeman, Baylie Black, Ben Black and a new grandson expected in January, Brennan James-Thomas Black. Mr. Hart was predeceased by a brother, Robbie Hart, his maternal grandparents, Herbert and Evelyn Harris, his paternal grandparents, Carlisle and Margaret Hart and his other paternal grandparents, Elzie and Ruby Gillespie. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Crestview Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Josh Freeman and Rev. Gene Pace. Burial will be at Lower Fairforest Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be David Ledford, Evan Ledford, Jeremy Greenway, Cody Greenway, Josh Kelly, Jimmy Tesner, Bob Sprouse and Gerald Alman. Employees of Polydeck Screen Corp. are asked to sit in a group. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday evening at Crestview Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Crestview Baptist Church, 1100 Furman Fendley Hwy., Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home, 810 Bishop Rd., Union.
