James Lynn “Jimmy” Tipton Spa Sc

Mr. James Lynn "Jimmy" Tipton, age 51 of 179 S. Cleveland Park, Spartanburg, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014 at his home. Mr. Tipton was born in Union, November 6, 1962, a son of Anna Lou Ivey Tipton of Union and the late John Durham Tipton. He was employed with a supplier of BMW in the Greer area. Mr. Tipton was a member of Mon Aetna Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his mother, Anna Lou Tipton, are two nieces: Haleigh and Taylor Tipton of Union and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. Mr. Tipton was predeceased by a brother, John Allen Tipton and a nephew, Steven Tipton. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Ron Gaddy and Rev. Robert Cato. Visitation will be held at the graveside immediately following the service. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice. The family is at the home of his mother, Anna Lou Tipton, 2620 Lockhart Hwy, Union.
