James E. Jordan

February 6, 2016 Mr. James E. "Jimmy" Jordan, age 73, of 244 Walker St., Pacolet, widower of Linda Shehan Jordan, passed away Friday, February 5, 2016 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Mr. Jordan was born in Union Co., January 25, 1943, a son of the late Eugene William Jordan and Elsie Ward Jordan. He was a retired mechanic and a member of Morning Star Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Jamie L. Jordan of Pacolet; two brothers, Bill Jordan and wife Rosie of Dacusville and Dan Jordan and wife Mikki of Powdersville; a brother-in-law, Dean Shehan and wife Marion of Gaffney; special cousins, Tracy Taylor, Stacy Smith and Sonya Mode all of Spartanburg; special friends, Judi Jarvis of Marion, NC and Jeanette Buchanan of Pacolet and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, February 8, 2016 at Morningstar Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Andrew Carrigan and Rev. Jackie Carrigan. Burial will be at Pacolet Methodist Church Cemetery. Members of the Men's Sunday School Class of Morning Star Baptist are asked to serve as the active pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 12:00 until 2:00 PM Monday at the church prior to the services. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Myelodysplastic Syndrome Research, 1010 E. North St., Greenville, SC 29601, or to Morning Star Baptist Church, 150 Old Spartanburg Hwy., Pacolet, SC 29372 or the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Dr., Spartanburg SC 29303. The family will be at the home 244 Walker St., Pacolet.
