James T. “J.T.” Gregory

June 9, 2015 Mr. James T. "J.T." Gregory, age 69, of 436 Oakland Road, Union, widower of Linda Sprouse Gregory, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at his home. Mr. Gregory was born in Union, SC on May 10, 1946 a son of the late Baxter and Evelyn Howell Knox. He was a graduate of Jonesville High School and was retired from the City of Union Utility Department as a lineman. Mr. Gregory was a member of Fairforest Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge No. 75. Surviving in addition to his wife, are two sons, Brad Gregory and wife Mary Ann of Union, and Jamie Gregory of Union; a daughter Brooke Baldwin and husband Buck of Union; a stepdaughter, Wendi Foster and husband Mark of Union; a stepson Clint Hutcherson and wife Carmen of Garden City, SC; a sister Renea of Burlington, NC; thirteen grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Rada Gregory. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, June 12, 2015 at Fairforest Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Mark Foster and Chaplin Donna Stroud. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
