James Bruce Lawson

April 8, 2016 Mr. James Bruce Lawson, age 65, husband of Diane Rodgers Lawson of 362 Putman Rd., Buffalo, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, April 8, 2016 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Mr. Lawson was born in Union, August 1, 1950, a son of the late James Sumner Lawson and Mary K. Lawson. He was a 1968 graduate of Union High School and was employed with Hexxon Company in Roebuck for the past 33 years. Mr. Lawson was a former member of the S.C. National Guard and attended Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. He was first married to the late Linda Ford Lawson. Surviving are five sons, Brian Lawson and wife Angie of Buffalo, Rev. Chad Lawson and wife Stacy of Piedmont, Brad Lawson and wife Jennifer of Buffalo, Brad Rodgers and wife Heather of Ladson, and Chris Rogers of Mauldin; one daughter, Amanda Rodgers of Greenwood; a sister, Barbara Nell Casey and husband Ruskin of Woodruff; a granddaughter, Blayke Moore; seven grandsons, Hunter Lawson, John Michael Lawson, Bradley James Lawson, Harrison Lawson, Lee Wooton, Jacob Wooton, Chase Rodgers and Connor Rodgers and a special little girl, Jazzy. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Monday, April 11, 2016 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Melvin Shelton and Rev. Chad Lawson. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 PM Monday at the church prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, 2153 Mt. Lebanon Rd., Buffalo, SC 29321. The family will be at the home, 362 Putman Rd., Buffalo.
