James E. Millwood, Sr.

December 27, 2018 Mr. James E. "Monk" Millwood, Sr., age 78, husband of Joanne Thomas Millwood of 220 Buffalo St., Buffalo, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at his home. Mr. Millwood was born in Union, March 21, 1940, a son of the late Bill and Eva Millwood. He was a retired construction worker and had also driven a taxi for many years. Mr. Millwood was a veteran of the US Army and attended Buffalo United Methodist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Crystal Martin of Union; two sons, James Eddie Millwood of the home and Timmy Millwood and wife Mary Jo of Jonesville; a brother, Bobby Joe Millwood of Union; special caregivers, Jamie Lemaster and Jackie Burns of the home and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Millwood was predeceased by a son, Mark Millwood and a brother, Lefty Millwood. The family would like to say a special thank you to Mr. Millwood's caregivers, Kate Henderson, Amanda Woods and Nicki along with the staff and nurses of Kindred Nursing and Providence Hospice for their care and concern of Mr. Millwood during his illness. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Mike Bell. Visitation will be immediately following the services at the cemetery. The family is at the home, 220 Buffalo St., Buffalo, SC 29321.
