November 4, 2015 Mr. James H. "Ozzie" Osborne, age 73 of 100 A Cogdill Plaza, husband of Elease "Sister" Sumner Osborne, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at his home. Mr. Osborne was born in Union, March 21, 1942, a son of the late Guy and Rebecca Clendenin Osborne. He was retired from Cone Mill, Carlisle Finishing Plant and was a member of Sumner Memorial Baptist Church. Mr. Osborne was a former member of the S.C. National Guard. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Jamie Osborne of Union; a son, Johnny Osborne and wife Lisa of Pauline; two sisters, Brenda Dubnik and husband Andy of Maryland, and Hassie Vaughan and husband Jim of Union; a brother, Tommy Osborne of Maryland; grandchildren: Brandy Sartor, Keith Pike, Jimmy Medford, Candy Smith, Jonathan Osborne, Jayna Osborne and Taylor Mahan and fourteen great-grandchildren. Mr. Osborne was predeceased by a daughter, Helen Osborne Pike and a brother, Guy Osborne. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, November 6, 2015 at Rosemont Cemetery conducted by Minister Johnny Osborne. Active pallbearers will be Keith Pike, Stan Lawter, James Medford, Robert Sumner, James Sumner and Mike Sartor. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the James H. Osborne Fund, P.O. Box 293, Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home, 100 A Cogdill Plaza, Union.
