James Rhinehart

Mr. Troy James Rhinehart, age 53, husband of Marlene Whitehead Rhinehart, of 319 Monarch Hwy., Union, passed away Thursday, June 24, 2021, at his home.

Mr. Rhinehart was born January 30, 1968, a son of Shirley Green Rhinehart and the late Troy William "PeeWee" Rhinehart, Jr.  He worked in textiles and had previously delivered for the Spartanburg Herald Journal, the Union Daily Times, and the Union County News.  Mr. Rhinehart was of the Baptist Faith.  He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and eating at Fat Sam's.

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are, two daughters, Brooke Rhinehart Raines and husband Jacob and Chastity Rhinehart and fiancée Cory Horne all of Union; a son, Dusty James Rhinehart and wife Stephanie of Union; a sister, Kristi Patterson and husband Joseph of Jonesville; two brothers, Michael Rhinehart and Mark Rhinehart both of Union; five grandchildren, Elijah Horne, Makenlee Rhinehart, Isabella Rhinehart, Emmaline Raines, and Mallory Raines; 3 special grandchildren, Jonathan and Cheianne Jones and Jeri Lynn Whitehead; and his father-in-law, Paul Whitehead of Union.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 27, 2021, at Ottaray Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Walter Holcombe and Chaplain Ronnie Norris.

Active pallbearers will be Tyler Gibson, Thomas Gugliucci, Phillip Smith, Jesse Bradley, David Buchanan, and Tim Sizemore.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of MSA Hospice, especially Rae Booth, Kandice McSwain, and Amanda Banks for their love and care of Mr. Rhinehart during his illness.
