James Edward Turner, Sr.

May 8, 2019 Mr. James Edward Turner, Sr., age 59, husband of Vicki Thompson Turner of 230 Harris St., Jonesville, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mr. Turner was born in Union Co., February 24, 1960, a son of Peggy Cagle Turner of Pacolet and the late Harold Dean Turner. He worked construction doing roofing and welding and attended Jonesville Church of God. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are three daughters, Charity Thompson and Jessica Thompson both of Cowpens and Christina Turner Toth and husband Jeremy of Jonesville; a sister Virginia T. Babb and husband Donald of Putman; a brother, Jerry Dean Turner and wife Barbara of Pacolet; a daughter-in-law, Julie Turner; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Mr. Turner was predeceased by a son, James Edward Turner, Jr. A celebration of life service will be held at 5:00 PM Friday, May 10, 2019 at the Jonesville Church of God conducted by Rev. Stacey Strickland.
