Mr. James Vernon "Jimmy" Vaughan, III, age 66, husband of Lynn Eaves Vaughan of 330 River Rd., Union, passed away suddenly, Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Union Medical Center.
Mr. Vaughan was born in Union, July 19, 1956, a son of the late James Vernon Vaughan, Jr. and Flora Scales Vaughan. He was a graduate of Union High School and Spartanburg Community College and was retired from Magellan Mid-Stream terminal in Spartanburg. He was a member of Philippi Baptist Church. He loved his family and enjoyed time spent with them.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Betsy Lynn Vaughan; a son, Jay Michael Vaughan both of the home; a brother, Joel Anthony Vaughan of Union; his mother-in-law, Kathryn Eaves Candler and husband Robert of Union and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Vaughan was predeceased by his father-in-law, Jimmy Dean Eaves.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Philippi Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Robert Scott, Rev. Brad Goodale and Rev. Chad Ponder. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 until 1:00 PM Saturday at the church prior to the services.
Active pallbearers will be Phil Garner, Ralph "Butch" Walden, Keith Reardon, Mike O'Dell, Mike Nance and Scott Willard.
The following are asked to serve as the honorary escort, Olin Robinson, Willard Farr, Steve Grady, Glenn Ivey, Robert Palmer, Paul Kelly and the Magellan work family.
