Jane Mckenzie

Mrs. Jane Zuchowski McKenzie, age 96, of 115 Hidden Hill Road, Union, widow of Kenneth George McKenzie, passed away, Friday, June 21, 2024, at her home.

Mrs. McKenzie was born in Connecticut on March 3, 1928, a daughter of the late Walter and Tillie Krol Zuchowski. She received her Bachelor's Degree from St. Joseph's College in West Hartford, Connecticut and later received her Master's Degree in Education. Mrs. McKenzie taught school in Union County for over 30 years and was an involved social worker. She was also a member of the Ladies Bridge Club, and the Ladies Guild Club. Mrs. McKenzie was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church where she and her husband previously served on the Finance Committee. Mrs. McKenzie and her husband were married for 55 years.

Surviving is a daughter-in-law, Margaret McKenzie; two granddaughters, Maranda McKenzie of York, and Allison Green of Sharon; a step-grandson, Justin Hyatt; two great-grandchildren, Avery, and Asher Williams; and her loving niece and nephews.

She was predeceased by three sons, Kenneth George McKenzie, Jr., Keith Walter McKenzie, and Matthew John McKenzie and a sister, Theresa Z. Coffey.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at St. Augustine Catholic Church conducted by Father Jimmy Touzeau. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held immediately following the services at the cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Justin Hyatt, Gauge Hyatt, Warren Childers, Jason Childers, Williams Childers, and Frank Tennas.
