Janice O’Shields Ellis

Mrs. Janice Elaine O'Shields Ellis, age 69 of 705 Arthur Blvd, Union, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Wallace Thomson Hospital. Mrs. Ellis was born in Union, SC September 5, 1944, a daughter of the late Francis E. O'Shields and Juanita Humphries O'Shields. She was a graduate of Union High School and had attended Cecil Business College. Mrs. Ellis was a member of Morningside Baptist Church and was a member of BPOE Does. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are two sons: Francis Leon Ellis of the home and Ronnie Ben Ellis of Union; two grandchildren: Summer Lee Ellis and Ronnie Tyler Ellis both of Union. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Morningside Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Aubrey Calvert and Rev. Larry Plyler. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Joey Littlejohn, Tommy Littlejohn, Jeff Littlejohn, Robbie Littlejohn, Mark Burns, Patrick Kelley, Mike Mitchell and Dale Mitchell. The following are asked to serve as Honorary Pallbearers: Lewis Mitchell, Lee Littlejohn, Chuck Hodge Tyler Hodge, Jimmy Stapleton, Steve Stapleton, Joe Ed Littlejohn, Bruce Littlejohn and Brent Littlejohn. Visitation will be held 1:00-2:30 PM Saturday in the church prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Morningside Baptist Church, 112 Bates Avenue, Union, SC 29379. The family is at the home, 705 Arthur Blvd., Union.
