Janie Puckett Tarbox

Mrs. Janie Puckett Tarbox, widow of James Tarbox, of Jonesville, age 68, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the home of her son.

Mrs. Tarbox was born, March 2, 1958, to the late Bobby Puckett and Pauline James Watkins. She was of the Baptist faith and had worked as a dietician.

Mrs. Tarbox is survived by her son, Bobby Williford and his fiancé, Beth Newton of Jonesville, brothers, Rodney Boone and his wife, Kim of Kannapolis, NC, Jeffrey Boone of Clover and a sister, Debbie Puckett of Spartanburg. She is also survived by grandchildren, Lillie Williford, Lukas Williford, Layla Williford and Jayla Williford. Mrs. Tarbox was predeceased by a son, W.T. Williford and brothers, Larry Puckett and Freddie Puckett.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday, May 4, 2026, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel.
