Jean Marie Koosa

Ms. Jean Marie Garrido Koosa, age 49, of 610 Hampton Rd., Greer, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2022, at her home.

Ms. Koosa was born April 16, 1973, in Angeles City, Clark Air Force Base, Philippines, a daughter of Eleanor "Ellie" Cepeda Manibusan Garrido and the late John Cruz Garrido.  She was a homemaker and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church of Union.

Surviving in addition to her mother are four children, Kanani Lodge and husband Kurt Lynn of Bremerton, WA, James "Brady" Koosa of Chapin, John Aaron Turner of Greer, and Alexis M. Turner of Greer; a brother, James E. Garrido of Guyton, GA; a niece, Noelani Garrido of Guyton, GA; a nephew, Flynn Garrido of Guyton, GA; her paternal grandmother, Josefa Cruz Garrido of Guam; and numerous Manibusan and Garrido aunts, uncles, and cousins, including a special cousin, Jolynn M. Chitwood of Duncan.  She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Juan Montanona Garrido; her maternal grandfather, Tomas Perez Manibusan; her maternal grandmother, Milagro Cepeda Manibusan; her step-grandfather, George Wayne Ponder; an uncle, Villamor Cepeda Manibusan; and an aunt, Lisa Barber Manibusan.

A celebration of life gathering will be held from 3:00 until 6:00 PM, Saturday, October 15, 2022, at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel.
