Mrs. Jean Lyles Richardson, wife of the late Ernest D. Richardson, went home to her Heavenly Father on September 16, 2021.
Mrs. Richardson was born in Oconee County, March 21, 1935, a daughter of the late Verline Moore Lyles and DeWitt W. Lyles. She was a 1953 graduate of Townville High School, a 1956 graduate of Anderson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, and she also attended Anderson College. After graduating nursing school, she was on staff at Anderson Memorial Hospital. Her career included industrial nursing, and office and clinic nursing in Anderson, Chesterfield and Pickens counties. She ended her nursing career at Wallace Thomson Hospital after 14 years of part time nursing with the last 7 years as Infection Control Coordinator.
Mrs. Richardson was a member of First Baptist Church, Union, for the past 51 years. She was a member of the Adult II Sunday School Class to which she served, at different times, as director and class secretary, as long as her health would allow.
Mrs. Richardson was predeceased by her husband Ernest of 56 years. She is survived by two daughters, Wanda R. All, M.D. and husband William of Union and Diane R. Drum and husband Terry of Maiden, N.C.; one son, Ryan A. Richardson and wife Becky of Lexington, S.C.; eight grandchildren, William D. All, III and wife Melanie, Margaret A. Redding and husband John, Sarah M. All, Todd Drum and wife Brooke, Barclay Robinson, Rebecca Stanley and husband Cole, Alex F. Richardson and Collin D. Richardson; eight great-grandchildren, Stephen and Oliver All, Kyler Redding, Strider Drum, Jack Arciniega, Colton Robinson, Cooper and Colby Stanley; two sisters, Sara Harbert of Anderson, S.C. and Jeanette Chandler of Bogart, G.A., and one brother, Silas Lyles and wife Joyce of Townville, S.C. Mrs. Richardson was predeceased by two brothers, Billy Severe Lyles and Jerry E. Lyles.
