May 20, 2016 Mrs. Jeanelle "Jenny" Robertson Bryson, age 85, of 120 Pinedale Ave., Union, widow of James W. "Lefty" Bryson, went to be with the Lord Friday, May 20, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Bryson was born in Union, SC on January 29, 1931 a daughter of the late Herbert Robertson and Kathleen Gault Robertson. She was a 1949 graduate of Union High School and was retired from Western Auto. Mrs. Bryson was a member of First Baptist Church where she was involved Sunbeams and a member of the Joy Sunday School Class. She was a lifetime member and the only remaining charter member of Union Drove #148 of the Benevolent Patriotic Order of Does. Surviving are a daughter, Kathy Bryson of the home; three sons, James Randolph Bryson and wife Elizabeth of Florida, Donald E. Bryson and wife Frances of Union, and William Russell Bryson of the home; four granddaughters, Jennifer Roark and husband Gerald of Union, Beth Jolly and husband Danny of Union, Shelly Bryson and significant other Joey Mitchell of Union, and Ashley Kingsmore and husband Tyler of Union; one grandson, Jonathon Bryson of Union; and five great-grandsons, Ford Jolly, Chase Mitchell, Carter Mitchell, Kayson Kingsmore, and Levi Kingsmore. She was predeceased by a daughter, Jeannie Bryson and two brothers, Donald Robertson and Eddie Robertson. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, May 23, 2016 at First Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Kermit Morris and Mr. Bobby Hicks. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Tyler Kingsmore, Joey Mitchell, Jimmy Estes, Reggie Robertson, Greg Robertson, and Jake Robertson. The BPO Does and their husbands are asked to sit in a group. A Doe service will be held at 5:00 PM with visitation following from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Sunday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. The family would like to express their gratitude to the Medi-Home Hospice Staff, Tracey Armstrong, Debbie LaPalme and Dot Owens for all of their help with her end of life care.
