alt="" height="119" src="Images/Jeffrey%20Petty.jpg" width="112" /> Mr. Jeffrey Walter "Jeff" Petty, age 54, husband of Kathy Eubanks Petty, of 1555 Kelly Rd., Union, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2020 at his home. Mr. Petty was born February 2, 1966 in Union, a son of Doris Vinson Petty of Union and the late William "Bill" Petty. He was a graduate of Union High School and Spartanburg Technical College. Mr. Petty was a Veteran of the United States Army 82nd Airborne Infantry. He was an active and lifelong member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, where he accepted Christ in April 1975, at the age of 9. Mr. Petty was a member of the Sons of the Confederate. He enjoyed camping, traveling, hunting, gardening, and was an avid South Carolina Gamecock Fan. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Surviving in addition to his wife of 14 years are, three daughters, Cassandra Justice and husband Joshua, Victoria Goins and husband Christopher, and Jameson Petty all of North Carolina; three grandchildren, Addalyn Justice, Grace Goins, and Hayden Justice all of North Carolina; a brother, William Petty, II and wife Tonya of Hilton Head; two nephews, Mason Petty and Holden Petty both of Hilton Head; his godparents, Walter "Buck" and Lizzie Plexico; his furry babies, Daisy and Dixon; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that loved him. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Neal and Louise Kirby and Maude McClellan Sherbert. Due to the current health crisis, Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Dr. Tommy Vaughn. Active pallbearers will be Michael, Allen, Christopher, Joshua, Kip and Allen. Memorials may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church, Building Fund, 915 S. Pinckney St. Union, SC 29379. The family is at the home of his mother, Doris Petty, 150 Barnado Rd., Union, SC 29379.
