Jerry W. Horne, Sr.

Mr. Jerry W. Horne, Sr., known as "Whitey", age 78, passed away at his residence, Thursday, January 4, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones.

Mr. Horne was born in Union Co., August 3, 1945, a son of the late Nathan Horne and Willie Mae Burgess Norwood. He retired after 25 years of service with Clary Hood, Inc. and spent the rest of his life with his scrap metal projects. He loved gardening because he loved to watch things grow.

Jerry leaves behind a loving wife of 54 years, Carolyn along with two sons, Jerry W. Horne, Jr. (deceased wife Donna) and David Horne (Gay); and two daughters, Melissa Gibson, and Lynn Harris (Michael). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to say a special Thank You to  Judy Kerr, Randy Kendrick, Tolya Hayes, Sharon Vickery and Amber Jennings.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 7, 2024 at Jonesville Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Damon Duncan.

The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the services.

Memorials may be made to the Union Co. Animal Shelter, c/o Union Co. Supervisors Office, 210 W. Main St., Union, SC 29379.

The family will be at the home, 420 C St., Jonesville.
