Jerry Dean Martin

September 27, 2016 Mr. Jerry Dean Martin, age 80, of 128 Scout Dr., Buffalo, widow of Barbara Jean Millwood passed away Monday, September 26, 2016 at his home. Mr. Martin was born on November 15, 1935 a son of the late Clarence Wesley Martin and Lucille Greene Martin. He was retired from Milliken and Co. Lockhart and Monarch Plants. Mr. Martin was a member of Jonesville Church of God and was a former member of the SC National Guard. Surviving are three daughters, Terri Martin Allison and husband Wayne of Jonesville, Debbie Martin Schmieder and husband Gary of Charleston, and Crystal Martin of Monarch; one sister, Dorothy Millwood of Chester; one brother, William "Dub" Martin of Jonesville; two special grandchildren, Josh Jones and Sheena Moore; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by one son, William Dean Martin; one brother. John "Junior" Martin, Jr.; and one sister, Shirley Stampey. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Roger Byrd. The family will receive friends immediately following the services at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Jerry Dean Martin Fund, PO Box 293, Union, SC 29379.
