Jerry H. Smith

Mr. Jerry H. Smith, age 70, of 439 Mt. Tabor Church Rd., Union, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 26, 2025. He was predeceased by his loving wife whom he adored, Cathy Vinson Smith.

Mr. Smith was born in Union, June 23, 1954, a son of the late Sam J. Smith and Louise Revis Smith. He retired from Cone Mill, Carlisle Finishing and was a member of Wesley Chapel Methodist Church where he was a member of the Peggy O'Dell Sunday School Class.

Surviving are a son, Scott Smith and wife Tonya of Union; a sister, Teresa Wilson of Union; two grandchildren, Tayla Smith and Raina Smith; a number of nieces and nephews including a special niece Katie Adams and husband Jonathan and a great-niece Anna Kate Adams. He was predeceased by two brothers, J.L. Smith and Kent Eugene Smith.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Wesley Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Richard Lewis and Rev. Mark Truitt. Visitation will be held Saturday from 2:00 until 3:00 PM in the church prior to the services.

Active pallbearers will be Brad Duckett, Shane Smith, Ronald Davis, Ronnie Gault, Sawyer Smith and Mark Ayers.

The family will be at the home of Scott and Tonya Smith, 245 River Rd., Union.
