Jerusha Frances Eldridge

Mrs. Jerusha Frances Small Eldridge, age 97 of Spencer, NC, widow of Oscar Franklin Eldridge, passed away Monday, August 31, 2015 in at Novant Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, NC. Mrs. Eldridge was born in Arkadelphia, AK, July 26, 1918, a daughter of the late W.B. and Emma Foster Small. Mrs. Eldridge was a homemaker and of the Church of God Faith. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Miller and husband Leonard Deaton of Santa Maria, CA; three sons, Wilson Russell Eldridge and wife Sheila of Riverside, CA, Frank Eldridge and wife Michelle of Tucson, AZ and Jerry Dean Eldridge with whom she made her home in Spencer, NC; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including a niece Myra Wallen of Whitmire. Mrs. Edlridge was predeceased by three sisters, Ruth Gregory, Judith Prince and Jane Freeman and four brothers, James, Charles, Fred and N.B Small. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, September 5, 2015 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Pastor Tommy Bishop. Burial will be at Union Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the services. The family will be at their respective homes.
