Jessica Marie Burgess

Jessica Marie Burgess, age 34, of 211 2nd St., Union, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at her home.

Jessica was born in Union, October 3, 1986, a daughter of Ray and Monique Childers Burgess of the home. She was a 2005 graduate of Union High School and was a member of Fairforest Baptist Church. Jessica was formerly employed with Greenleaf in Buffalo and also with Wal Mart in Union.  She was a loving and caring daughter and mother who was involved with the Alpha-1 Organization for liver disease research.

Surviving in addition to her parents are a daughter, Kyra Marie Burgess of the home; two brothers, Raymond Alton Burgess, Jr. and wife Tara of Spartanburg and Jamie Burgess and wife Christina of Lumberton, NC; three special nieces and nephew, Carolina Burgess, Leila Burgess and Ethan Burgess; and her paternal grandfather, Frank Shrader of Lockhart. Jessica is also survived by several aunts and uncles including, Sherri Johnson of Union, Jeanie Belue of Lockhart and Neenie Jones of Columbus, OH; a special friend and "sister" Mandy Gibson and numerous cousins.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, January 18, 2021 at Fairforest Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Scott Cobb and Rev. Robert Scott. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the service.

Active pallbearers will be Jerry Childers, Robert Gilkison, Joey Gilkison, Paul Watts, Heath Burgess and D.J. Long.
