Mr. "Jet" Jessie Lee Henderson, age 85, husband of Brenda Garner Henderson of 103 Westview Dr., Union, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024 at the home of his daughter.

Mr. Henderson was born in Pea Ridge, October 22, 1938, a son of the late George Leonard Henderson and Ruby Wix Spencer. He was retired from American Fiber and Finishing in Newberry. He was a member of the John A. Fant Mason Lodge and was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Henderson loved to fish and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Roxanne Puckett and husband Kenny Ray of Buffalo; a special niece/daughter, Karen Kendrick and husband Jon of Union; a son-in-law, Billy Kidd of Union; a sister-in-law, Freddie Foster of Union and a brother-in-law, Ronald "Goober" Garner and wife Sandy of Buffalo. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Chad Henderson and wife Charlotte, Tyler Scoggins and wife Kristin, Duston Gilkison, Devin Gilkison, Matthew Puckett, Michael Puckett, Cierra Gilkison, Hayleigh Gilkison and Lauren Daniels and husband Gavin Kelley; six great grandchildren; Will and Wyatt Gilkison, Thomas Jett Scoggins, Mason Alessi, Angela Lewallen and husband Daniel, and Ashley Anderson; eight great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Sherri Kidd, one sister and five brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Scott Cobb. Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

Mr. Henderson's grandsons will serve as the active pallbearers. The following are asked to serve as the honorary escort, Robert Gilkison, Billy Kidd, Jon Kendrick, Tim Roberts, Rocky Cook and Ronald "Goober" Garner.

Memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice, 686 Jeff Davis Dr., Spartanburg, SC 29303.

The family will be at the home of his daughter, Roxanne and Kenny Ray Puckett, 161 Katelyn's Way, Buffalo.
