Jewel V. Lee Blakely

February 2, 2019 Our beloved Jewel Vinson Lee Blakely passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus, February 1, 2019. Jewel was the much beloved wife of Bobby F. Blakely, Sr. of four years. Mrs. Blakely was born in Union, September 17, 1931, a daughter of the late Adams B. Vinson and Racine Allred Vinson. She was retired from Boyd Company where she served as a Residential Manager and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons, Ronnie Lee and wife Linda of Lake Murray, Prosperity, Randy Lee and wife Roxanne of Union and Mark Lee and wife Melissa of Lake Murray, Newberry; an adopted grandson, Rocky Lee and wife Valerie of Union; a step son, Bobby Blakely, Jr. and wife Nancy of Elgin; five grandchildren: Lori Beth Lee, Chrissy Lee, Mary Anne Seagle, Jennifer Lynn Silvers, and Lacy Thompson; four step-grandchildren: Meranda Vieregge, Austin Vieregge, Alex Vieregge and Stevie Cabiness; and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Blakely was the last surviving member of her immediate family and was predeceased by her first husband, Malcolm (Mack) Lee. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Dr. Tommy Vaughn and Rev. Kimmett Lott. The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the services.
