October 28, 2017 Mr. Jimmy L. Moss, age 79, husband of Harriette Brandon Moss of 137 Fairbanks St., Jonesville, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mr. Moss was born in Union Co., July 14, 1938, a son of the late Rufus and Lula Mae Reynolds Moss. He was retired from textiles and was a graduate of Jonesville High School. An active member of Jonesville Baptist Church, he was a member of the Men's Ministry, a choir member, a former Deacon and a member of the Happy Hearts group. Mr. Moss was retired from the S.C. National Guard, Jonesville Unit having served for 37 years. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Suzanne M. Rash and husband Mark of Jonesville, a son: Barry Moss and wife Cynthia of Sharon, a sister: Mary Feltwell and a brother: Harold Ray Moss both of Jonesville; three grandchildren: Jason Moss and wife Edie, Jenna Webb and husband Matt and Brandon Smith; and two great-grandchildren: Brian Maltez and Rachel Moss. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM Monday, October 30, 2017 at Jonesville Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Scott Cannon and Rev. Ralph Brown. Burial with Military Honors and Masonic Rites will be held at Jonesville Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Matt Webb, Dale Wynn, Dean Adams, Barry Tweed, Joel Stover and Steven Addis. Visitation will be held from 1:30 until 3:30 Monday prior to the services at the church. Memorials may be made to Jonesville Baptist Church, the Benevolence Fund or the Happy Heart group, P.O. Box 279, Jonesville, SC 29353. The family is at the home, 137 Fairbanks St., Jonesville.
