Jimmy C. Sherbert

Mr. Jimmy Carlisle Sherbert, age 77, widower of Mary Jo James Sherbert of Union, SC passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice House.

Born March 30, 1947, he was the son of the late Thomas Droman and Mae Fore Sherbert.  He was a graduate of Union High School and was retired from Kohler.

Mr. Sherbert was a member of First Baptist Church Union.

Surviving are a daughter, Betsy Hudson; a son, Scott Sherbert and wife Jessica; Grandchildren, Kyle Hudson and Jay, Mia, Ben, and Sam Sherbert; a brother, Tommy Sherbert and wife Janet all of Union; a brother-in-law, Harold Senn James and wife Cecilia and sister-in-law, Kay James Kallman all of Greer; and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a son-in-law, Gator Hudson.

Funeral Services will be held at noon on Monday, October 7th in the First Baptist Church Union Chapel conducted by Rev. Robbie Stollger.  The family will receive friends at 11am prior to the service.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Union Medical Center, Spartanburg Regional Hospital, and the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home for the care they provided in the final days of Mr. Sherbert's life.
