Jimmy Dean Williams

Mr. Jimmy Dean Williams, age 73, husband of Diane Alexander Williams of 823 Linersville Rd., Buffalo, passed away Monday, January 9, 2017 at his home. Mr. Williams was born in Union, August 11, 1943, a son of Rev. Boyd Henry Williams of Union and the late Gertrude Harrison Grant. Mr. Williams was a veteran of the US Navy and a member of Hillside Baptist Church. He was an avid "Southern Picker" who enjoyed finding treasures at flea markets. Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters, Kim Millwood and husband Gene of Buffalo, Cindy Williams of Union and Audrey Eller and husband Brad of Jonesville; a sister Brenda Baker and husband Ralph; a brother, Charles Williams all of Union; ten grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren including Kasidy Rhinehart reared in the home. Mr. Williams was predeceased by his step-mother, Louise Williams and his step-father, Ulysses Grant; a sister, Judy Dorsey and two brothers, Wayne Williams and Earl Peglar. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Thursday, January 12, 2017 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Pastor Dwayne Rueter and Rev. Shannon Faulkner. Burial with Military Honors will be at Union Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Roger Sumner, Robert Williams, John Williams, Ralph Baker, Steve Crumley and Thomas Leith. Visitation will be held Thursday from 1:00 until 2:15 PM at the funeral home prior to the services. Memorials may be made to Hillside Baptist Church, 102 Ingle Ave., Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home, 823Linersville Rd., Buffalo.
