Mrs. Joanne Elizabeth Millwood Gilliland, age 90, widow of Talmadge Kirk Gilliland, of 232 Mas Rd. Pacolet, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026.
Mrs. Gilliland was born in Spartanburg, June 22, 1935, a daughter of the late James Vozelle Millwood and Margaret Fowler Millwood. She retired from Milliken Company and was a member of Browns Chapel Baptist Church.
Mrs. Gilliland is survived by a daughter, Sharon Mathis, two sons, Bobby Guyton and Eddie Guyton and his wife, Barbara, all of Pacolet. She is also survived by grandchildren, Angel Hall (Glenn), Randy Burgess (Jennifer), John Snapp (Tammy), Heather Fulgham (Wayne), Regina Mathis, Adrian Mathis (Becky), Nicole Guyton and Cody Guyton (Tara). Mrs. Gilliland is also survived by a number of great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren and her beloved dog, Daisy. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Gilliland was predeceased by a son, John Earl Guyton, a granddaughter, Lori Steading, a grandson, Christopher Guyton and a brother, James E. Millwood.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 22,2026 at the Browns Chapel Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Tommy Sparks. Burial will follow at White Rose Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Kaden Fulgham, Josh Kirby, Billy Burgess, Josh Steadings, Adrian Mathis and Alvin Littlejohn.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the services at Browns Chapel Baptist Church.
The family will be at their respective homes.
