Joanne Harris Gregory

Mrs. JoAnne Harris Gregory, age 75, wife of James "Jim" Gregory of 1936 Walnut Grove Rd., Roebuck, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice House. Mrs. Gregory was born in Union, SC on January 12, 1941 a daughter of the late Roy Harris and Mabel Riggs Harris. She was retired as Secretary of First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Gregory was a member of Friendship Baptist Church where she served in various leadership positions. Surviving in addition to her husband are a great nephew, Brandon Seay of the home; a sister, Kathy Horne and husband Bill of Walnut Grove; two sisters-in-law; six nieces; one nephew; and several great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased two brothers, Harold Harris and Gerald Harris. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Friendship Baptist Church in Pauline conducted by the Rev. Chris Collins. Burial will follow at 3:30 PM in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the services at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Spartanburg Chapter, 901 S. Pine St., Spartanburg, SC 29302 or to Spartanburg Regional Hospice House 686 Jeff Davis Dr., Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at the home of her sister, Kathy and Bill Horne 1928 Walnut Grove Rd., Pauline, SC 29376.
