Joe Harold Freeman

Mr. Joe Harold Freeman, age 89, husband of Muriel McBride Freeman of 117 Rogerstown Road, Jonesville, South Carolina, passed away February 7, 2025 at his home.

Mr. Freeman  was born March 16, 1935 in Union County, a son of the late Alex Freeman and Sue Lee Freeman. He attended Union County Schools.  Mr. Freeman was a self-employed contractor and was a veteran of the National Guard. He was a member of the Hardee's Bunch and Jonesville Baptist Church where he was a member of the Happy Hearts.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 69 years are two daughters, Jeannine McKinney and husband Ricky and LaJuan Lancaster both of Jonesville and a son, Brian Freeman and wife Charlene of Jonesviile; grandchildren Joel Taylor and wife Lindsay, Jared Taylor and wife Lacy, Tiffany Hampton and husband Jay, Brad Freeman, Rockey Lancaster and wife Kelly, and Cassie Smith and husband Brandon.  He is also survived by ten Great-Grandchildren. He is survived by brothers, Alex "Buddy " Freeman and Pryor "Babe" Freeman.

Mr. Freeman was predeceased by a son, Joel Scott Freeman; sisters, Hilda Timmons and Ruth Foster; brothers, James "Sleepy" Freeman, William "Pete" Freeman, and Ray Freeman.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mr. Freeman's caregiver, CeCe Eison and Dr. Ike, Dr. Bishop and Dr. Ebrahim for the care given to Mr. Freeman.

Services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Jonesville Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Scott Cannon. Burial will be held Putman Baptist Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at Jonesville Baptist Church from 2:00 to 3:00 prior to the service .

The family will be at the home, 117 Rogerstown Road, Jonesville, SC.
