John Roy "Butch" Belk

Mr. John Roy "Butch" Belk, age 67, of Union, SC passed away Friday, February 11, 2022, at home on 351 Philippi Church Road.

Mr. Belk was born in Union, SC October 29,1954 the son of the late Fred H. Belk and Helen V. Belk. He was a member of  Philippi Baptist Church in Union. "Butch" was a graduate of Union High School, attended USCU for two years and studied Electrical sciences at York Tech. He was also a veteran of the US Navy. He was an avid fan of the Union County Yellow Jackets Football team and served as a member of the Friday night Chain Crew for many years.

Surviving are three daughters, Stacy Lawson (Rev. Chad) of Piedmont SC, Myra Boulware (Philip) of Union, SC and Kelsey Johnson (Michael) also of Union SC. In addition Mr. Belk is survived by a brother Alfred H. Belk (Harriette), and a sister Melinda Wilburn both of Union. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Hunter and Harrison Lawson, Addison and PJ Boulware and Keaton, Kentley, Maleigha, and Mayvry Johnson. Mr. Belk is also survived by a number of  nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Philippi Baptist Church cemetery conducted by the Rev. Brad Goodale and Rev. Chad Lawson. The Union County High School Yellow Jackets Chain Crew and Danny Mize are asked to stand as Honorary Pallbearers. The family will receive friends after the service.
