John David Canupp

June 27, 2017 Mr. John David Canupp, age 65, of 1923 Barnwell St., Columbia, widower of Kellie Canupp, passed away Monday, June 26, 2017 at the WJB Dorn VA Medical Center. Mr. Canupp was born in York Co., February 28, 1952 a son of the late Marion and Martha Inman Canupp. He was retired from textiles and was a veteran of the US Army. Surviving are a daughter, Sherry Canupp Rhinehart and husband William of Great Falls; two sisters, Betty Blackwell and husband Jerry of Blacksburg and Shirley McDaniel and husband Floyd of Hickory Grove; one brother, Jim Canupp and wife Rose Marie of Sharon. Mr. Canupp was predeceased by a sister, Ann Cromer and a brother, Frazier Canupp. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, June 30, 2017 at Bullocks Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Michael Goodwin and Rev. Jeff Gilfillan. Active pallbearers will be Jim Canupp, Jr., Preston Parris, Jonathan Parris, Michael McDaniel, Jerry Blackwell and Jeremy Blackwell. Visitation will be held at the graveside immediately following the services. Memorials may be made to the John David Canupp Fund, P.O. Box 293, Union, SC 29379. The family will be at their respective homes.
