John Wesley Harvey

Mr. John Wesley Harvey, age 76, formerly of York, SC, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the Halifax Care Center in Ormond Beach, FL.

Mr. Harvey was born in Reidsville, NC, April 4, 1945, a son of the late Edward Thomas Harvey and Margaret Legan Harvey. He was retired from Duke Energy and was a veteran of the US Navy having served from 1963 to 1969. Mr. Harvey was formerly married to the late Debra Petty Harvey.

Surviving are a daughter, Kristi Harvey of Union; a step-daughter, Delores Feck of Albuquerque, NM; a step-son Jerry Leopard of York; a sister, Virginia H. Bouvier of North Carolina; and one granddaughter, Savannah Leopard. He was predeceased by a sister, Mary Elizabeth Spangler and a brother, James Thomas Harvey.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Lockhart Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 until 1:30 PM Tuesday at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

The family will be at the home of Joyce P. Hanna, 314 Mt. Tabor Church Rd., Union.
