Rev. John L Hines, Jr.

Rev. John Lewis Hines, Jr., age 72, formerly of 4002 Whitmire Hwy., widow of Betty Lowman Hines, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020 at NHC-Clinton.

Rev. Hines was born in Union, July 28, 1947, a son of the late John L. Hines, Sr. and Ella Birdell Hines. He was a retired Baptist minister and had previously worked in textiles. Rev. Hines formerly pastored at God's Healing Spring Baptist Church where he maintained his membership.

Surviving are a son, J.D. Hines of the home; a sister, Nancy Hines of Greenwood; a granddaughter, Aletha Hines of Union and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, July 27, 2020 conducted by Rev. Wayne Tobias. The family will receive friends at the graveside following the services.
