Mr. John L. "JL" Jackson, age 76 of 214 Pine Street, Buffalo, widower of Vicki Fisher Jackson, passed away, Sunday, May 11, 2014 at his home. Mr. Jackson was born in Pauline, SC January 8,1938, a son of the late John Jackson and St. Lawrence Lawson Jackson. He retired as a supervisor at Cone Mill. Surviving are two daughters: Tracy Champion and husband Donald of Boiling Springs and Tonja Chalk and husband Kevin of the Monarch Community; a sister, Barbara Lundeen of Spartanburg; two brothers: Roy Jackson and wife Avery of Woodruff and Bobby Jackson and wife Joann of Spartanburg; two grandchildren: Johnathon Davis of the home, Miranda Davis (Chris Swigart) of FL; two great-grandchildren: Jaelyn Davis of the Monarch Community and Layla Swigart of FL; three sisters-in-law, Jean Jackson of Spartanburg, Carolyn Jackson of Union and Lille Mae Jackson of Enoree. Mr. Jackson was predeceased by a son, Richard Lynn Jackson; two sisters: Louise Loftin and Mary Frances Jackson and three brothers: Ernest Jackson, Vance Jackson and Howard Jackson. Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at the Rosemont Cemetery conducted by Rev. Johnny Burgess. Visitation will be held at the graveside immediately following the service. Memorials may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 103B Boyce Street, Union, SC 29379. The family is at the home, 214 Pine Street, Buffalo.
