Mr. John Thomas "J.T." Adams, age 72 husband of Delores Crocker Adams of 348 Pasture Dr., Union, went to be with the Lord surrounded by his family and friends on Tuesday, August 2, 2016. Mr. Adams was born in Union, SC on February 14, 1944 a son of the late Bunyon "Bunt" Adams and Annie Mae Bentley Adams. He was first married to the late Emily Horne Adams. Mr. Adams attended Jonesville High School and was retired from Sanders Transport as a truck driver and was formerly employed with APC. He was retired from the S.C. National Guard Jonesville Unit. Mr. Adams was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church and was an avid gardener and farmer. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Rhonda Keisler and husband Chris of Enoree; one son, Tommy Adams and wife Renee of Union; one step daughter Tammy Gibson of Spartanburg; two step sons, Richie Kirby of Ashville, NC and Chris Kirby and wife Heather of Union; six grandchildren, Danielle Adams, David Adams, Heather Adams, Hailey Adams, Heath Adams, and Hanna Adams; six step-grandchildren, Hunter Kirby, Pebbles Kirby, Taylor Rhame, Brandon Rhame, Noah Rhame, and Melissa Gibson; twelve great-grandchildren; one sister, Linda Tucker and husband Tommy of Union; numerous nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Kenny Adams and wife Mandy of Union; and a beloved pet dog, Carter. He was predeceased by a brother, George Adams and two great-grandchildren, Isaiah Fallen and Caillin Gregory. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, August 5, 2016 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Michael Walker. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be, Buddy Harris, Wallace Harris, Wayne Harris, Donnie Fallen, Edward Inman, and Kenny Adams. The following are asked to form the honorary escort, Staff and Nurses of DCI Union, Gary Hall, LC Johnson, Dalton Johnson, Joyce and Bobby Lipsey, Linda Wages, Pat Elwood, Michael and Theresa Albee, Doug and Robin Willis, and Willie and Laverne Shetley.
