John Ray Mcclellan

Mr. John Ray McClellan, age 61, of 234 Hawthorne Rd., Union, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Heartland Healthcare of Union.

Mr. McClellan was born September 18, 1961 in Union, a son of the late Claude McClellan and Dot Kitchen McClellan.  He was a graduate of Union High School and attended Greenville Technical College.  Mr. McClellan retired as an independent contractor.  He was a member of Salem Baptist Church.

Surviving are three sisters, Kathy McClellan of Union, Jane Vaughan of Union, and Sally McClellan of Spartanburg; three nieces, Dottie Adams and her children, Tristen Brock and Rydder Bevis, Rebecca Stamper, and Laura Chaney and husband John and their children, Carolina and Isabelle; two nephews, Monty Vaughan and wife Crystal and their children, Matthew, Andrew, and Owen and Michael Vaughan and wife Trish and children, Ethan, Reese, and Lillian; and a brother-in-law, Bill Stamper.  He was predeceased by two sisters, Linda Williams and Gayle Stamper.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 29, 2023 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Shannon Faulkner.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the services at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
