John Keith Parks

Mr. John Keith Parks, age 81, husband Carol Cooper Parks of 1340 Mt. Tabor Church Rd., Jonesville, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, January 30, 2021.

Mr. Parks was born in Union, May 29, 1939, a son of the late J.T. Parks and Phoebe Sprouse Parks. He was a graduate of Lockhart High School and Spartanburg Junior College. He was owner and operator of Parks Service Station in Lockhart and had also worked in delivery for NAPA Auto Parts. He was a member of Philippi Baptist Church where he had served as a trustee for a number of years. Mr. Parks served on the Union County School Board or 32 years. He was a member of the Lockhart Masonic Lodge #244 for over 60 years and was a Hejaz Shriner. Mr. Parks was a veteran of the US Army.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Lori Roberts of the home; three sons, Dennis Cooper, John K. Parks and wife DeeAnn all of Jonesville and Thomas Mack Parks and wife Scarlett Floyd Parks of Lockhart; a sister, Phoebe Ann Crocker and husband Doyle of Union; eight grandchildren, Chelesa McCloud and husband Michael, Zack Cooper and wife Ally, Quay Cooper and wife Hannah, Codie Parks, Trey Parks, Mackenzie Parks, Jamison Parks and Lillian Parks; and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Parks was predeceased by a sister, Flo Hines.

Graveside services with Masonic Rites will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, February 1, 2021 at Philippi Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Robert Scott, Rev. Brad Goodale and Rev. Sam Baine.  Mr. Parks' grandsons along with Jackie Parks and Mack Rash will serve as the active pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the home, 1340 Mt. Tabor Church Rd., Jonesville immediately following the services.
