John E. Sexton, Jr.

Mr. John Edgar Sexton, Jr., age 65 of Union, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021 at his home.

Mr. Sexton was born in Union, October 12, 1956, a son of the late John and Barbara Posey Sexton. He was a graduate of Union High School and retired from Cone Mill, Carlisle Finishing. He was an avid outdoorsman but could often be found watching old westerns on television or singing for his daughters, who loved to hear him sing.

Surviving are two daughters, Christen Alley and husband Ricky of Concord, NC and Nickie Daves and husband Will of Hickory Grove; a son, William Sexton and wife Alex of Union; and five grandchildren, Baylie and Nathan Daves, Kylan and Brooke Alley and Lucas Sexton.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Forest Lawn Cemetery conducted by Rev. Robbie Stollger. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the service.

The family will be at their respective homes.
