Mr. John Kemp Tyson Vaughan, age 43, of Trimmier St., Spartanburg, passed away, Monday, October 25, 2021 at his home.
Mr. Vaughan was born in Spartanburg, January 23, 1978, a son of Joyce Crevier Vaughan of Union and the late Tommy Joseph Vaughan. He was employed as a butcher with Food Lion in Spartanburg. Tyson was a musician who had played in several clubs in the Upstate with first the IV-Play Band and currently with the Willow Lake Band. He was very fond of cartoons and horror movies that helped inspire his creativity. Tyson had a contagious smile, a unique sense of humor and was a jovial and loving person.
Surviving in addition to his mother are two daughters, Sierra Logan Vaughan and friend Peyton Davis, and Journey Draven Vaughan all of Spartanburg; a grandson, Kenneth Reid Spencer of Spartanburg; a sister, Leigh Lewis of TN; a brother, Joe Vaughan and wife Angela of Boiling Springs; six nephews and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Nathan Lipari. Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Saturday at the chapel prior to the services. Active pallbearers will be Scotty Lemmons, Darrell Johnson, Tyson Rothrock, Rivers Carroll, Brent Webber and Joe Phillips.
