Johnnie C. Martin

Mrs. Johnnie Smith Martin, age 80, wife of Sammy Ray Martin of 233 South St., Buffalo, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024 at her home.

Mrs. Martin was born in Gastonia, NC, September 10, 1943, a daughter of the late James Clifton Smith and Florence Caldwell Smith. She was a member of Covenant Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Pamela Smith and husband Jesse of Elgin, SC; a son James Ray Martin and fiancée Angel Moore of Buffalo; a special daughter, Marlene Whitehead Rhinehart; a sister, Judy Stroud of West Jefferson, NC; and a brother, Larry Smith of Whitmire. She is also survived by grandchildren, Kristen Wilson and husband Jacob, Skylar Tellier and husband Nick, Kaitlyn Martin, Jenny Martin, Rose Martin, Chloe Davis and Jarrett Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, September 1, 2024 at S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Larry Goins. Burial will be at Union Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Jacob Wilson, Nick Tellier, Dusty Rhinehart, Deontre Green, Cayson Whitlock and Carter Davis.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 3:00 PM Sunday at the chapel prior to the services.

The family will be at the home, 233 South St., Buffalo, SC.
