Johnny Dean Marchbanks, Sr.

Mr. Johnny Dean Marchbanks, Sr., age 65, of 128 Dragway Dr., Union, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014 at his home. Mr. Marchbanks was born in Pickens, SC on November 26, 1948 a son of the late John Marchbanks and Mary Lee Hendricks. He had retired from Morgan Electric as an electrician. Mr. Marchbanks was a Veteran of the United States Navy having served in Vietnam and was a Mason with Roebuck Lodge No. 357. Surviving are two daughters Deanna Moore and husband Michael of Spartanburg and Jessica Marchbanks of Union; two sons, Johnny Marchbanks, Jr. and wife Beth of Union and James Marchbanks and wife Sarah of Greenville; a sister, Judy Morgan and husband Robert of Roebuck; eight grandchildren; a nephew, Rusty Morgan and wife Julie of Pauline; a niece April Amick and husband Todd of Roebuck; two special friends, Sean and Debbie Howell of the home. Mr. Marchbanks was predeceased a sister, Donna Williams and a niece Miranda Williams. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM, Monday, February 17, 2014 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Scott Cobb. The family will receive friends following the services.
