Joretta Dickerson “Jojo” Smith

Mrs. Joretta Dickerson "JoJo" Smith, age 86, of 1020 Thompson Blvd., Union, widow of John Clifton Smith, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Smith was born May 12, 1931 in Union, SC a daughter of the late William Meadow Dickerson and Pearl Dickerson. She retired from Union Mill. Mrs. Smith was a member of Fairforest Baptist Church where she had previously worked in the nursery and was a choir member. Surviving are one son, Boyd William Smith and wife Patricia of Union; two grandchildren, Jason Scott Smith and wife Joy and Farrah Smith of Union; three great-grandsons, Ryder Gregory, Justin Littleton, and Jordon Smith all of Union; and one great-great-granddaughter, Alexis Smith of Union. She was predeceased by two brothers, Bill Dickerson and Frank Dickerson and one sister, Betty Sue Jones. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Mark Truitt. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. The family is at the home, 1020 Thompson Blvd., Union, SC 29379.
