November 6, 2017 Mr. Joseph Paul Heatherly, Jr, age 84 of 116 Heatherly Drive Buffalo, widower of Juanita Duncan Heatherly, passed away Monday, November 6, 2017 at his home. Mr. Heatherly was born in Buffalo, SC December 23, 1932, a son of the late Joseph Paul Heatherly, Sr and Sunie Henson Heatherly. He retired from United Metchants Buffalo Plant and was a Veteran of the US Navy having served in the Korean War. Mr. Heatherly was a member of West Springs Baptist Church where he was a member of the Senior Men's Sunday School Class. Surviving are a daughter, Debbie H. Lyons and husband Hugo of Elloree, SC; a son, Larry Heatherly Sr. and wife Penny of Buffalo; a sister, Aileen Quinn of Buffalo; two brothers: Herbert Heatherly of Buffalo and Rev. Broadus Heatherly of Shelby, NC; six grandchildren: Michelle McCowan, Christy Beheler, April Hicks, Wayne Heatherly, II, Shannon Lyons and Chad Lyons and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Heatherly was predeceased by two sisters, Lucinda Arnold and Beck Heatherly and two brothers, S.J. Heatherly and Ralph Heatherly. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, November 9, 2017 at West Springs Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Greg Black. Visitation will be held 1:30-3:00 PM in the church prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Union County Meals on Wheels, P.O.
