Joy Parks Northern

Ms. Joy Parks Northern "Joybelle", age 49 of Union, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 19, 2024.

Joy was born in Spartanburg, September 30, 1975, a daughter of Jerry T. and Joan Willard Parks of Union. She was a 1993 graduate of Union High School and was a graduate of cosmetology school. She was a beloved hairdresser for many years and enjoyed doing make-up and hair for pageants, weddings and proms. She was more recently employed with Triangle Vet Clinic. Joy was a very talented decorator and enjoyed doing crafts and other projects. She was a loving and devoted mother who was always bragging about her sons and had an infectious smile that could light up any room she entered.

Surviving in addition to her parents are her sons, Parker Northern and fiancée, Kayley Jayne Addis and Chandler Northern; a brother, Joseph Parks and wife Sierra; a sister, April Parks Wells and husband Paul; nephews and niece, Blake Jordan, Hunter Jordan and wife Hannah and Emily Jordan and a great-nephew, Kamdyn Jordan.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Philippi Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Robert Scott and Rev. Brad Goodale.  Burial will follow at Philippi Baptist Church.

Active pallbearers will be Parker Northern, Chandler Northern, Jackie Parks, Hunter Jordan, Blake Jordan, and Jeffrey Gist.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:45 PM prior to the services at the church.

The family will be at the home of her parents, Jerry and Joan Parks, 200 Springdale Dr., Union.
