Joyce Sailors Arnold

Mrs. Joyce Sailors Arnold, age 78, of 911 Old Buncombe Road, Union, widow Paul C "Shorty" Arnold, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Hospice House of Clinton. She was first married to the late Linder Wade. Mrs. Arnold was born in Union County, June 28, 1937, a daughter of the late Ralph H and Margaret Hawkins Sailors. She was retired from Eastside Elementary School in Clinton, SC. Mrs. Arnold was a member of the Ladies Bible Class at Padgett's Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Cynthia Lawson and husband Dean of West Springs; a son, Roger Wade and wife Vanda of Cross Keys. Mrs. Arnold is also survived by a sister, Kathy Donnan and husband Mason of Laurens; and a brother, Carol Sailors and wife Jerri of Union, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Arnold was predeceased by a sister, Patsy Lovings; and by two brothers, Tom Sailors and Dennis Sailors. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February, 22 at Padgett's Creek Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Carrol Caldwell. Visitation will be held 10:00 to 11:00 AM Wednesday at the church prior to the service. Entombment will be at the Pinelawn Cemetery Mausoleum, Clinton. The family will be at her home, 911 Old Buncombe Road, Union.
