Joyce G. Moody

Mrs. Joyce Kaye Grady Moody, age 61, widow of James Franklin "Jimmy" Moody of 268 Carem Rd., Union, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at the Laurens Co. Hospice House in Clinton. Mrs. Moody was born in Union, April 15, 1952, a daughter of the late Inez Grady. She was a graduate of Spartanburg Community College and was employed as a Human Resource Administrative Assistant with Dollar General Distribution Center in Jonesville. Mrs. Moody was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Allison LeMaster and husband Gene of the home; a grandson, Trenton James LeMaster of the home; three sisters, Frances S. Lawson, Brenda G. Beheler and Claudia A. Carroll and husband Coleman all of Union; three brothers, Eugene Holcombe and wife Willie Dee, Wayne Grady and wife Mary Ann and Steve Grady all of Union; a special friend, Roy Overcash and family of Chesnee; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Donna Eidson, Rev. Shannon Faulkner, and Rev. Todd Davis. Burial will be at Union Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Mrs. Moody's nephews, Steven Howell, Sr., Jonathan Moody, Joseph Moody, Shane Grady, Dusty Grady and Devin Ivey. Fellow employees of Dollar General Distribution are asked to sit in a group. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Blue Ridge Hospice for the care and concern given to Mrs. Moody during her illness.
